did you decide to enroll in the olive oil sommelier certification course?
The depth of my personal connection
with olive oil is truly profound. My enduring fascination with this product
only grows stronger with each new exploration, continually fueling my
curiosity. The realm of olives has become an indispensable part of my life's
journey. While this course is not my initial foray into studying the subject,
having previously attended sessions in Spain, my objective in New York was to
attain a broader, more comprehensive global perspective. I am happy to announce
that I have successfully accomplished this goal.
What did you think of the course? What was your favorite
part?
When it comes to assessing the quality
of this olive oil course, a perfect score of 100 is the pinnacle. Personally, I
would bestow upon it a rating of 97, leaving room for potential theoretical
advancements and future growth. I must highlight my utmost admiration for Pablo
Voitzuk's presentations, which truly stood out. His profound expertise, coupled
with his humble demeanor and articulate speaking style, made a lasting impact
on me. Additionally, the incorporation of real-life cases that showcased
diverse olive oil enterprises further enriched the overall learning experience.
Did anything you learned surprise you?
Yes, indeed. The presentation by Samir Bayraktar
showcasing his mobile olive oil mill was truly eye-opening. For several years,
I have nurtured a dream of something similar, albeit on a smaller scale to fit
my Defender. Now I see it could be real.

I live in Barcelona, Spain.
How will you apply what you have learned from the course?
Indeed, the course has already yielded
personal benefits of significant value. Beyond its educational advantages, the
course served as a powerful catalyst for my motivation. Following a brief
period of rejuvenation, and with the encouragement of a dear friend, I have
taken the leap to bring my long-standing vision to life: creating a
comprehensive source of information about olive oil. Moreover, I am eager to
delve into the realm of offering a special “oleoturismo¨ program in Barcelona,
spotlighting the excellence of olive oil and its harmonious properties. This
transformative endeavor will be presented under the evocative banner of the “Olive
Oil Explorer."
